MiraCosta College Invitation to Bid

MiraCosta College has posted a Notice to Contractors for an upcoming construction project funded by the voter-approved Measure MM construction bond program.  Please review the bid information below to see if this work could be a good fit for your firm.  All MiraCosta College jobs require prevailing wage and for contractors to be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) as is required by law for public works projects.  MiraCosta projects are not subject to a project labor agreement.  

Description:  A new monument sign/entry structure to provide a sense of arrival to the campus and a means of wayfinding. The demolition of the Small Business Development Center due to its critically poor condition and state of vacancy. A native garden at the entry to provide an aesthetic upgrade to the entry and improve the pedestrian experience. Native plantings (portion along Mission Ave.) to create a more sustainable and vibrant landscape.

Engineers Estimate:  $880,000

Bidders must attend one of two mandatory pre-bid walk conference opportunities – March 5, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. or March 7, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. The pre-bid conference will be conducted at CLC Campus, 1831 Mission Ave, Oceanside CA 92058, Arby’s parking lot.  The pre-bid conference is mandatory and should a bidder not attend, they will not be allowed to bid as it is a material requirement of the contract.

Bid submissions are due to the District no later than 2 p.m. on April 2, 2019.  Each bid must conform and be responsive to the contract documents, which are available at http://miracosta.edu/administrative/purchasing/measuremmbids.html.
